Therapist celebrates reopening of treatment room with more Daisy donations

Category

A holistic therapist who raised hundreds of pounds for the Daisy Appeal by donating the commission from a week’s worth of sales is to support the charity again as she celebrates the reopening of her treatment room after lockdown.

Karen Engstrom, who runs her holistic therapy business and her Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic online shop from her home in Ackworth, West Yorkshire, raised £500 from commission and customer donations earlier this year in memory of her late uncle, who lived in Cerne Abbas, Dorset.

As she gets back to welcoming customers to her premises Karen will also kickstart another mini-campaign with her “Fundraising Friday” which will begin this week at 9am on Friday 23 April and run until midday on Sunday 25 April.

Karen will raise money from the virtual spa session which she has arranged with friends for Friday evening and she will donate commission from every order placed via the fundraising link which will go live on Friday at https://uk.nyrorganic.com/shop/karenengstrom/party/W001671591

Karen said: “The Daisy Appeal is now very dear to my heart and, in support and in celebration of the reopening of my treatment room following recent restrictions, I have decided to do a little spring fundraising event over the weekend.

“I’m hoping it will once again be a successful fundraising event for Daisy and I am again grateful to the charity for helping to promote it.”

Claire Levy, Daisy Appeal Fundraiser, said: “It was great to hear from Karen again and we’re delighted that she is able to support the Daisy Appeal again so soon after her previous fundraising success.

“We hope people from across our region will get online, celebrate with Karen as she gets her treatment room up and running and help to raise funds for the Daisy Appeal.”
