The Daisy Appeal has highlighted progress towards completion of the Molecular Imaging Research Centre at Castle Hill Hospital in its latest newsletter. Download the December 2020 Newsletter.
The December edition of the publication also gives an update on fundraising activities with ideas on how people can help by purchasing Christmas gifts locally and online.
Prof Steve Archibald tells of the work he has been doing briefing trustees on the timeline for installing equipment into the new centre, and how standards of care will be improved.
The newsletter reports on the global partnerships which have brought exciting advances in understanding the next generation of scanners to image patients and around new methods to reduce costs and improve accessibility around dose-on-demand imaging drugs. It also introduces Dr Azeem Saleem, who is taking a lead role in the development of clinical studies.
The fundraising update features local businesses which are supporting the Daisy Appeal and promotes Christmas shopping options including Christmas cards, cuddly bears, dogs and dinosaurs made with fabric from Cock of the Walk tailors and ceramic daisies from the display at Beverley Minster and Castle Hill.
The Daisy Appeal can also be supported as your Amazon Smile charity.
