Science training & development

The exponential growth in PET radiotracer research and production far exceeds the number of trained professionals to work in this field, and therefore as a nation, we face a staffing crisis.

Our work » Science training & development

PET radiotracers are critical in diagnosing and monitoring a variety of medical conditions, from cancer to neurological disorders, providing clinicians with valuable insights that are crucial for effective patient care. The rapid growth of PET radiotracer research and production is outpacing the availability of trained professionals, leading to a staffing crisis that threatens the advancement of this crucial technology. To address this, we must invest in training the next generation of technicians, scientists, and clinicians through comprehensive programs across technical, scientific, and clinical disciplines. This workforce development will ensure continued access to life-saving PET imaging, drive research progress, and improve patient outcomes, positioning our nation as a leader in medical imaging and radiology.
