Equipment

The Daisy Appeal has funded 3 facilities at Castle Hill Hospital.

Our impact » What we fund » Equipment

The main equipment benefitting local patients is the PET CT scanner within the Jack Brignall Centre. This year we are upgrading this to a digital scanner which will provide scans for more people in the region. The scanner will be built up as we fund raise to become a full body scanner, of which there are only 2 others in the country.

Help us to fundraise for the new scanner

The research for production of radiotracers used in the scans is produced by our own Cyclotron within our newly funded Molecular Research Imaging Centre. The equipment within the centre is state of the art, allowing our team to develop new isotopes for early diagnosis of cancer, cardiac and neurological disease helping us to deliver on our charity ambitions for a Centre of Excellence.
