The Daisy Appeal is a charity for the people of the Humber region and to the borders of North Yorkshire. The development of the charity facilities will ensure that Hull and East Yorkshire will take their deserved position in the premier league of medical research in the United Kingdom. We will concentrate on finding clinical solutions for the management of patients with cancers and those with heart disease. It will encompass other specialties such as dementia as times goes on creating a Centre of Excellence in Medical Research.
We provide access and public benefit to the much needed and unmet NHS PET scanning services for the population of HNY covering Hull, East Riding, York, North and East Yorkshire and North and North-East Lincolnshire, a quarter of whom live in the ‘most-deprived’ areas.
Our aim is to promote bench-to-bedside PET research, supporting discovery and development of new radiotracer molecules and methods for the benefit of public regionally with potential for worldwide implementation.
100% of the donations received go to fund vital lifesaving research and provision of medical scanning facilities.
Please note all funds are used in full by the charity to further its objectives.
