Our community fundraiser Claire Levy collected a cheque on Tuesday 1st July from the New2You charity shop at St Augustine’s Church Skirlaugh. The group is run by Lyn Tina, Trish and Anne and is open every Tuesday from 9.30 to 12. Every six months they make a donation of half the funds raised to the church and half to a charity, usually a local charity is chosen.
Since the group started just over three years ago and has raised £16,500 in total. The shop was started by Andrea and the ladies have carried on the good work she started.
Thank you for their very generous donation of £1125 to the Daisy Appeal.
100% of the donations received go to fund vital lifesaving research and provision of medical scanning facilities.
Please note all funds are used in full by the charity to further its objectives.
