Sallyann is at the forefront of operations at the MIRC and is responsible for making sure radiopharmaceuticals, manufactured on site by her capable team, are produced efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality demanded by UK regulators. Sallyann joined the MIRC project in 2017 and played a crucial role in the design, build and commissioning of the MIRC. Her qualifications in Pharmaceutical Sciences, backed up by 27 years’ experience in NHS pharmacy and radiopharmacy services, where she occupied high profile leadership roles including Chief Technologist and Aseptic Services Lead at the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, are just some of the reasons why Sallyann is crucial to the MIRC achieving its aims of improving patient diagnostics in the region. Sallyann says: “I am proud of our team’s achievements and of the Daisy Appeal’s initiative to improve diagnostic scanning for patients in our region. I am looking forward to working with scientists and clinicians from both academia and industry, to bring brand new diagnostic scans to our patients; we have a very bright future ahead, with some very exciting developments in the pipeline!”. Sallyann’s passions outside of work including walking and showing her three dogs (Molly, Dobby and Rosie), horse riding, and chocolate!
