Dr Rebecca Hargreaves

Deputy Production Manager

Rebecca joined the MIRC project in 2020 to work with Sallyann in playing a crucial role in the design, build and commissioning of the facility. She now takes on the role of Deputy Production Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day production of radiopharmaceuticals for patient care. Rebecca studied Chemistry at the University of Hull, followed by a PhD in radiopharmaceutical science and short stint at Reckitt Benckiser as a R&D Operations Assistant where she learned about pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations – a combined experience which proves invaluable to the MIRC. Rebecca says: “The MIRC and its capabilities are unique, owed to the collective forces of the Daisy Appeal Charity and NHS Trust. It is truly a pleasure to be involved in this venture and I am delighted to play a positive role in impacting patient care in our region”. When Rebecca is not making radiopharmaceuticals for patients, she is busy being super mum and enjoys outdoors life, camping most weekends with her two young children.
