About Us

Daisy Appeal Overview

For 20 years, The Daisy Appeal, based at Castle Hill Hospital in East Yorkshire, has funded medical research and PET-CT scanning to help diagnose life-threatening illnesses. The facility is sustained entirely through the generosity of the local community and the fundraising efforts of supporters across the Humber region.

The Daisy Appeal is an independent charity whose facilities are used by the NHS Trust but receive no government funding. Its work is made possible through local fundraising initiatives, community events, and the continued support of donors and volunteers.

Friendship is a gift, and our appeal needs yours today. Become a friend of Daisy and help us keep local facilities at the forefront of advancement in health in our region.

Charity Assets

The Daisy Appeal has three major assets on the Castle Hill campus:

  • The Daisy Building, which provides laboratory space for vital medical research in respiratory health and wound healing and houses the charity’s office.
  • The Jack Brignall Centre operates the PET-CT scanning facility.
  • The Molecular Imaging Research Centre (MIRC) a state-of-the-art research facility, provides the latest radiopharmaceutical tracers used in PET scanning.

Make a difference

In 2027, The Daisy Appeal will mark 25 years of supporting life-changing medical research and diagnostic services. To celebrate this important milestone, we are building a strong network of supporters across the region and inviting Friends of the Appeal to act as ambassadors. Through local initiatives and community events, these ambassadors will help raise awareness and support our fundraising efforts.
